Baseball Recap: Glen Rose Has No Trouble Against Llano

Glen Rose won the last time they faced Llano and things went their way on Thursday too. The Glen Rose Tigers blew past the Llano Yellowjackets 11-1.

Gastin McGarity was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Adrian Sanchez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Glen Rose was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .474. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Glen Rose has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Llano and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

Glen Rose has already played their next contest, a 10-0 win against Killeen on the 7th. As for Llano, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 16-0 defeat against Wimberley on the 6th.
