Eldorado extends road losing streak to 11

Recap: Eldorado Sundevils vs. Cheyenne Desert Shields

The Eldorado Sundevils suffered their biggest defeat since November 27, 2023 on Thursday. They were dealt a 70-22 defeat at the hands of Cheyenne. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Eldorado in their matchups with Cheyenne: they've now lost six in a row.

Leading Cheyenne to victory were Tariyh Turner and Nita Franklin. Turner scored 18 points along with six rebounds, while Franklin scored 18 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Turner has scored all season. Ananda Jackson was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five steals.

Eldorado bumped their record down to 2-11 with that defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road. As for Cheyenne, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-8 record this season.

Eldorado will be playing in front of their home fans against Southeast Career Tech at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Southeast Career Tech is ranked 76th, while Eldorado is ranked 96th). As for Cheyenne, they will head out on the road to challenge Somerset Academy Losee at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Akaylah Thrower and Franklin.
