In other pitching news, Mount Dora Christian Academy got a good showing from Justin Martin, who pitched 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Martin has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
Wise wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Calton, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. Braden Waring was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
