Volleyball Recap: Perry Takes a Loss

Perry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Ogden Bulldogs. The Bluejays were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Charity Parnell paced Perry's offense, picking up three kills. Parnell got some help from Karagyn Whelchel and her four assists. Kamila Arceo controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Perry's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Ogden, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Perry didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Des Moines East on the 11th. As for Ogden, they will venture away from home to square off against Earlham at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
