Basketball Recap: Friendly Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Friendly can now relate to. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 56-55 to the Central Falcons. The Patriots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Falcons earlier this season, when they won 66-64.

When it comes to explaining why Friendly lost, don't look at Jeremiah Roach. Despite the final result, he went 8-for-15 en route to 19 points. Those 19 points gave Roach a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Joel Danquah, who posted nine points and five boards.

Friendly's loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Central, their victory bumped their record up to 5-17.

Friendly does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Central has already played their next matchup (against Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
