St. Xavier had won five straight home games dating back to last season and Liam McGeady did his part to make it six on Saturday. The Bombers were the clear victors by a 61-40 margin over the Archbishop McNicholas Rockets for which the team can thank McGeady, who went 8-for-13 on his way to 22 points and eight boards. He has also also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 50% every time he's hit the court this season.

Another player making a difference was Luke Sorce, who posted ten points. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 48.7% field goal percentage.

Archbishop McNicholas lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Owen Nienaber, who had 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Sanders, who earned eight points.

St. Xavier's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Archbishop McNicholas, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-2.

St. Xavier didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-30 win against Elder on the 9th. As for Archbishop McNicholas, they have also already played their next contest, a 68-54 victory against Archbishop Alter on the 6th.
