Baseball Recap: Hopkinton Has No Trouble Against Norwood

Hopkinton had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Norwood on Monday. The Hillers put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 9-2 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hillers also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Ryan Lang looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Nick Pedroli was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Dylan Ruff was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-5.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-2. As for Norwood, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
