Baseball Recap: Patriot Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Patriot barely beat Gar-Field the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Pioneers blew past the Red Wolves 15-2 on Tuesday. The Pioneers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by six runs or more this season.

The win (which was Patriot's fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Gar-Field, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.

Looking ahead, Patriot will face off against Unity Reed at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.6 runs per game on average), something the Pioneers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Gar-Field, they will head out on the road to face off against Colonial Forge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
