Schurr has gone 10-0 against San Gabriel recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Schurr Spartans will head out to challenge the San Gabriel Matadors at 5:30 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Schurr is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Bell Gardens just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Thursday. They and the Lancers finished up their contest with a 1-1 draw. The result kept the Spartans happy, as they haven't lost a game since December 27, 2024.

Meanwhile, San Gabriel fell victim to Montebello and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Oilers, falling 3-0.

Schurr's draw gives them a new season record of 10-8-4. As for San Gabriel, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4-1.

Schurr was able to grind out a solid win over San Gabriel when the teams last played last Monday, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Schurr since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
