Volleyball Recap: Valley Center Victorious + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Oceanside, Valley Center was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the High Tech SD Storm by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Jaguars, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Valley Center walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 20-25, 25-22, 25-23.

Valley Center had a senior duo take command as Briana Rizo had 19 digs and eight aces and Olivia Becker had four digs and three aces.

Valley Center was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 20 aces. They are 10-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

Valley Center now has a winning record of 10-9. As for High Tech SD, they dropped their record down to 3-9 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Valley Center and High Tech SD could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Jaguars (ranked 802nd) will meet El Camino (ranked 399th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, High Tech SD will square off against Mater Dei Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank disadvantage (978 vs. 261).
