Soccer Recap: Mount Pleasant Takes a Loss

After soaring to six goals the game before, Mount Pleasant was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They fell just short of the West Cabarrus Wolverines by a score of 1-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Mount Pleasant of the 5-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Mount Pleasant's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5-2. As for West Cabarrus, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-11.

Coming up, Mount Pleasant will challenge Union Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Union Academy will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Mount Pleasant surely won't give up without a fight. As for West Cabarrus, they will take on A.L. Brown at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: West Cabarrus have lost four straight at home , while A.L. Brown have lost four on the road.
