 The Oakcrest Chargers's game  last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Tuesday. They came out on top against Highland by a score of  40-32. That's another feather in the cap for Oakcrest, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
 Oakcrest's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Elaine Etter led the charge by  scoring ten points along with six  steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Etter has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kate Newsome, who  scored seven points along with two  steals and two  blocks.
 Oakcrest now  has a winning record of 11-10. As for Highland, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost four of their last five matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 12-7 record  this season.
 Oakcrest will head out on the road to  face off against  Fredericksburg Christian at 6:15  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Highland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Christ Chapel Academy at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. Christ Chapel Academy will roll in looking for their  eighth straight  win, something Highland surely won't give up without a fight.
