Softball Game Preview: Burlingame Panthers vs. San Mateo Bearcats

The Burlingame Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the San Mateo Bearcats at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Burlingame is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Capuchino just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Mustangs.

Meanwhile, San Mateo fell victim to King's Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Knights, falling 6-0.

San Mateo's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Burlingame, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.

Burlingame might still be hurting after the 10-2 loss they got from San Mateo in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
