Basketball Recap: Lanier Comes Up Short

Lanier was the 43-39 winner over Highlands when they last played one another back in January of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Voks opened the new year with a less-than-successful 65-54 loss to the Owls.

Lanier's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Highlands, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Lanier has already played their next contest, a 66-61 victory against Burbank on the 6th. As for Highlands, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 77-38 win against Jefferson on the 6th.
