Recap: Stratford Elks vs. New Deal Lions

The Stratford Elks extended their postseason success on Friday against the New Deal Lions. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 53-16 victory over the Lions. Stratford's victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Bryce Braden was his usual excellent self, rushing for 143 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries, while also throwing for 82 yards and a touchdown. Josue Licon was another major influence, as he rushed for 84 yards and ran in a TD.

When it comes to explaining why New Deal lost, one person who can't be blamed is Slade Martin. Despite the final result, he rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.

Stratford's win bumped their record up to 13-0. As for New Deal, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4.

Stratford will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Hawley at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st. Hawley is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. New Deal does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
