AAA Region VII recap Nov. 7, 2012
Socastee extended the longest winning streak in AAA Region VII this week by beating Crestwood, 30-12. The victory was the 11th in a row for the team.
Myrtle Beach led the league in scoring this week after putting up 43 points on Manning.
Georgetown's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Caleb Hughes threw for 52 yards and Marquez Drayton had 25 yards receiving. On the ground Julian Lunsford chipped in 49 yards. Chris Gamble helped Georgetown's passing attack out by catching two balls for 17 yards.
Georgetown's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Bulldogs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Hughes has thrown for 1620 yards and 15 touchdowns this season, while Alvin Walker has 57 catches for 724 yards. Lunsford leads the league in rushing with 827 yards.
