Sterlington is 8-1 against Mangham since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Panthers are taking a road trip to face off against the Dragons at 6:00 p.m. Sterlington will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Sterlington is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Franklin Parish 16-3 on Tuesday. Considering the Panthers have won ten matches by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Mangham fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against St. Frederick on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Dragons have suffered since March 19, 2024.

Sterlington pushed their record up to 20-5 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Mangham, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-12.

Sterlington was able to grind out a solid win over Mangham when the teams last played back in March of 2024, winning 5-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
