Soccer Recap: Charleston Takes a Loss

Charleston lost against Newton back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Trojans came up short against the Eagles, falling 5-1. Charleston have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their goal came courtesy of Russell Applegate, who's now up to three this season.

Charleston now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Newton, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Charleston wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Danville on the 30th. As for Newton, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Teutopolis on the 30th.
