The Antelope Valley Antelopes''s three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 30-8 margin over Lancaster. This was payback for Antelope Valley, who suffered a 40-32 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Antelope Valley found their leader in underclassman Arthur Turner, who rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown. Bre McMillan got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Despite the loss, Lancaster still got an impressive performance from Ymihr Byrd, who picked up 91 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Antelope Valley's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Lancaster, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Antelope Valley will head out on the road to face off against Knight at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Knight is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Lancaster will take on Palmdale at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
