Baseball Game Preview: Central Panthers vs. Woodburn Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Central will face off against Woodburn. The Panthers will challenge the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

Central took a loss when they played away from home last Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past Woodburn 12-1. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won eight in a row.

For Woodburn's part, Brady Shaw was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

Central's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games.
