League recap: Morningside scores huge upset over Inglewood

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Morningside, who took down 427th ranked Inglewood, 19-15. Christian Williams ran for 150 yards during the win.

The Monarchs scaled the state rankings by moving to 626 from 694 this week, the biggest jump in Ocean. Morningside climbed the ranks as a result of topping the Sentinels 19-15.

Santa Monica's dynamic duo of Jordan Detamore and Will Taylor proved tough for Hawthorne to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Detamore threw for 155 yards and 3 touchdowns and Taylor had 70 yards receiving. Corde Sweets helped Santa Monica's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 40 yards.

Zaire Andre provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Inglewood fell to Derwin Henderson's team. He completed 5 passes for 124 yards and also ran for 93 yards. Andre's key target this week was Michael Williams, who caught 2 passes for 57 yards.

Culver City's Armani Rodgers and Marcus Moore led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-5 quarterback Rodgers has thrown for 1,089 yards this season, while Moore has 31 catches for 550 yards. Williams from the Monarchs leads the league in rushing with 1,406 yards.

The Centaurs added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Beverly Hills, 49-14. The victory was the fifth in a row for Culver City.
