Volleyball Recap: Leadership Academy Has No Trouble Against Gray Stone Day

Leadership Academy won the last time they faced Gray Stone Day and things went their way on Thursday too. The Falcons put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 3-0 win.

Leadership Academy's got stronger as the match went on, holding Gray Stone Day to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-13, 25-7.

Charlotte Pugh paced Leadership Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Pugh got some help from Cate Sellmer and her 12 assists. Sellmer also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Jacelyn Mitchell, racking up five apiece.

Leadership Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Gray Stone Day, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Leadership Academy will square off against Bethany Community at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the Falcons their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Gray Stone Day, they will welcome Christ the King at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
