Soccer Game Preview: Milby vs. Carnegie Vanguard

The Milby Buffs will take on the Carnegie Vanguard Rhinos at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Friday, Milby didn't have quite enough to beat Galena Park and fell 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Buffs have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Carnegie Vanguard, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was Carnegie Vanguard who was credited with the win on Friday. Carnegie Vanguard got it done in the shootout by posting seven goals to Sterling's six.

Milby dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Carnegie Vanguard, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Milby might still be hurting after the 5-1 defeat they got from Carnegie Vanguard in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Milby avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
