            Football Recap: Pearl River Central Blue Devils vs. Pascagoula Panthers        
        
		
        
        
            Pearl River Central fell victim to Pascagoula and their airtight defense  on Friday. They were beaten by the Panthers 42-0. If the Blue Devils were looking for revenge after losing  37-8 to the Panthers when the teams met back in September of 2020, then they'll just have to keep looking.
 Titus Feaster threw for 38 yards  on six of 14 attempts.   Qorday Russell was his top target, picking up 34 receiving yards.
  Amarie Jackson was  his usual excellent self, rushing for 193 yards and three  touchdowns for Pascagoula. Jackson is becoming a predictor of the Panthers' success: when he posts  at  least 100  rushing yards the team is 2-1 (and 1-4 when he doesn't).  Sean Norvel helped out on the ground, rushing for 111 yards and a  rushing touchdown.
Pearl River Central's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Pascagoula,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 3-5.
 Coming up, Pearl River Central will be playing at home against Long Beach  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Blue Devils will be up against the Bearcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30.63  points per  matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Pascagoula, they are taking a road trip to  square off against Hancock  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
