Basketball Recap: Baker Comes Up Short

Baker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Fairhope Pirates an easy 54-32 victory. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hornets of the 70-53 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Baker's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Fairhope, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Baker will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bryant at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Fairhope, they will be home for the holidays to greet Vigor at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
