Softball Recap: Wirt County Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Wirt County's offense. They came up short against the Doddridge County Bulldogs on Thursday, falling 15-0. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2021.

Wirt County's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Doddridge County, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Doddridge County beat Wirt County by a score of 17-2 later that day.
