Basketball Recap: Elwood Takes a Loss

Elwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 72-47 to the Knox Redskins.

Despite the loss, Elwood still got an impressive performance from Cam Gallegos, who went 5-for-12 en route to 16 points and six rebounds. Brice Shuler was another key player, putting up eight points and five assists.

Elwood's defeat dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Knox, their win bumped their record up to 4-18.

Looking ahead, Elwood will challenge Frankton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Frankton will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Elwood surely won't give up without a fight. Knox does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
