Lampasas took a seven-run loss the last time they faced off against Burnet, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Lampasas skirted past Burnet 6-5. The win was familiar territory for the Badgers, who have now won six contests in a row.

Lampasas' victory was truly a team effort as eight different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Wright, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits Wright has posted since back in March of 2024. Kade Landry was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Lampasas' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3-2. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Burnet, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-7.

Lampasas will have a chance to go back-to-back against Burnet: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
