Mineral Point and Pecatonica are an even 4-4 against one another since March of 2017, but likely not for long. The Pointers will be playing at home against the Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mineral Point will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

While Mineral Point's win against Southwestern wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pointers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 1-0 shutout on Tuesday. Those one runs were actually the fewest the Pointers have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Pecatonica and Highland had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Cardinals on Tuesday. While the Vikings didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Pecatonica's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Mineral Point, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.
