Baseball Game Preview: Bingham Miners vs. Corner Canyon Chargers

For the second straight game, Bingham will face off against Corner Canyon. The Miners will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chargers at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Bingham will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Bingham is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Corner Canyon, who was ranked 25th at the time (Bingham was ranked seventh). The Miners came out on top against the Chargers by a score of 9-5 on Wednesday.

Logan Davis looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

At the plate, Kam Beck was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Bauer Williams was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Corner Canyon and nudges their season record down to 11-7. As for Bingham, their victory bumped their record up to 14-4.
