Basketball Recap: Elliott County Takes a Loss

Elliott County suffered their biggest loss since February 20th on Sunday. They lost 72-52 to the Clinton County Bulldogs. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2018.

Elliott County's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Clinton County, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Elliott County and Clinton County should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings. Elliott County (ranked 36th) will meet West Carter (ranked 148th) at 7:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025. Similarly, Clinton County (ranked 12th) will meet Seymour (ranked 290th) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
