Chaney had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Sunday. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 55-50 W against the Rich Township Raptors. Given the Cowboys' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 13th in Ohio, while the Raptors are ranked 97th in Illinois) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chaney to victory, but perhaps none more so than Allen Hill, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Hill is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last eight games he's played. Austin Brown was another key player, putting up 16 points and three steals.

Chaney's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Rich Township, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-10.

Chaney has already played their next game, a 59-31 victory against Perry on the 20th. As for Rich Township, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 68-59 loss against Thornton on the 20th.
