Gate City hadn't done well against Tennessee recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Blue Devils walked away with a 5-2 win over the Vikings. That's two games straight that the Blue Devils have won by exactly three runs.

Allen Lane looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jackson Jones, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Collin Wood also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games.
