Recap: Tom Bean Tomcats vs. Bowie Pirates
The Tom Bean Tomcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 26 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Bowie 75-38 on the road. Winning may never get old, but Tom Bean sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Leading Tom Bean to victory were Branson Ashlock and CJ Richter. Ashlock dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds, while Richter scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Richter hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Brody Pearson, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Tom Bean has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Bowie, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing McLeod the next time they take the court. Tom Bean will head out to face McLeod at 5:50 p.m. on Thursday, while Bowie will head out to face them at 5:50 p.m. on Thursday.
