Football Recap: Beaufort Academy's Undefeated Season over After Six Games

After flying high against Lee Academy last Friday, Beaufort Academy came back down to earth. The Eagles fell 21-8 to the Dorchester Academy Raiders on Friday. The Eagles were red-hot offensively heading into the matchup (they scored no less than 31 points in the five contests prior), but the Raiders' defense proved too tough.

John Whetsell continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Dorchester Academy, rushing for 215 yards and three touchdowns. Whetsell is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 123 every time he's taken the field this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Beaufort Academy fell to 5-1. As for Dorchester Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Beaufort Academy has already played their next game (against Colleton Prep Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Dorchester Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 34-6 victory against Carolina Academy on the 26th.
