Recap: Veterans Memorial Chargers vs. Smithson Valley Rangers
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Veterans Memorial Chargers, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were dealt a 49-21 loss at the hands of the Rangers on Friday. Veterans Memorial's defeat signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Veterans Memorial still got an impressive performance from Gilbert Trillo, who rushed for 52 yards and two touchdowns.
Veterans Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Smithson Valley, the win was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-1.
Veterans Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Smithson Valley is on the road again on Friday and play against Aledo at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th. Aledo is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
