Basketball Recap: Charleston's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Charleston won the last time they faced Leflore County and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Charleston Tigers came out on top against the Leflore County Tigers by a score of 42-33. The victory was some much needed relief for Charleston as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

When it comes to explaining why Leflore County lost, don't look at Antionette Holston. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. That's the most boards Holston has posted since back in November of 2024.

Charleston's win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Leflore County, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Riverside the next time they take the court. Charleston will host Riverside at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Leflore County will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on January 21st.
