Baseball Recap: Garinger Comes Up Short

Garinger saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Diego Camero, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and two RBI. Camero has become a key player for the Wildcats: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 0-4 otherwise. Jose Diaz also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Garinger's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Ashbrook, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 4-5 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Garinger will welcome Rocky River at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Ravens have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.56 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of.
