Basketball Recap: North Andover Skates Past Charlestown with Ease

There's no place like home for North Andover, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Charlestown Townies 72-41.

North Andover's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.5 points over those games. As for Charlestown, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-6 record this season.

Looking ahead, North Andover will be playing at home against Winchester at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Winchester knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 contests -- so hopefully North Andover likes a good challenge. As for Charlestown, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Boston Latin Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Boston Latin Academy will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Charlestown surely won't give up without a fight.
