Basketball Recap: Conneaut Takes a Loss

Conneaut was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 55-53 heartbreaker at the hands of the Maplewood Rockets. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rockets earlier this season, when they won 60-52.

Conneaut's loss dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Maplewood, their victory bumped their record up to 5-16.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Conneaut will square off against Pymatuning Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Maplewood, they will be taking part in a tournament against Badger at 7:00 p.m. on February 22nd. Maplewood is facing Badger at the right time seeing as Badger is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
