It was a good run, but Goleman unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Varela Vipers by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vipers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in March.

Nicolas Arencibia paced Goleman's offense, picking up 19 kills. Arencibia got some help from Carlos Delgado and his 50 assists. Roman Garcia controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Goleman's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Varela, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-5.

Goleman has already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Hialeah-Miami Lakes on the 11th. As for Varela, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Miami on the 11th.
