Soccer Game Preview: Sexton vs. Eastern

The Sexton Big Reds will head out to challenge the Eastern Quakers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Sexton is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.

While Sexton's win against Owosso wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Big Reds sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Trojans on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Eastern hadn't done well against Lansing Catholic recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way last Wednesday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Quakers who were credited with the win. Eastern got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to Lansing Catholic's four.

Sexton's record now sits at 8-2-1. As for Eastern, their record is now 11-3-3.
