Baseball Recap: Mamaroneck Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mamaroneck can now relate to. They fell just short of the Ketcham Storm by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Storm earlier this season, when they won 10-9.

LUKE REAGINS and JP Donahue stepped up to the plate in a big way. REAGINS went 2-for-3 with one run and one double, while Donahue went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Mamaroneck's defeat dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Ketcham, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

Mamaroneck has already played their next game, a 16-2 victory against Scarsdale on the 28th. Hopefully Ketcham paid attention to the Tigers' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Tigers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
