Flag Football Recap: Leading Edge Academy - GEC Spartans vs. ALA - Ironwood Warriors
Leading Edge Academy - GEC was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 22-6 to the ALA - Ironwood Warriors.
Leading Edge Academy - GEC didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. Armani Rameriz was the real danger to the passing game, picking up two interceptions all by herself. Another thorn in ALA - Ironwood's side was Rameriz, who made nine total tackles and defended two passes in addition to snagging two interceptions which she returned one-yard for a touchdown.
Sylvia Willis was the offensive standout of the game as she picked up 31 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 54 yards on only seven carries.
Leading Edge Academy - GEC's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for ALA - Ironwood, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-9.
