Football Recap: Mar Vista Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Mar Vista played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 63-7 loss at the hands of the Coronado Islanders. The Mariners haven't had much luck with the Islanders recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Coronado got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jack O'Sullivan out in front who threw for 276 yards and four touchdowns while completing 76.2% of his passes. The Islanders' leading receiver Reese Pagon was O'Sullivan's top target yet again, picking up 98 receiving yards and three TDs.

Mar Vista's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Coronado, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Mar Vista and Coronado will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Mariners see the field they'll take on Bonita Vista at 6:30 p.m. on the 10th. As for Coronado, their break will end when they face Clairemont at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th.
