Bishop Stang hadn't done well against Apponequet Regional recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Spartans enjoyed a cozy 28-14 win over the Lakers. For the Spartans, this counts as revenge for the 42-14 victory the Lakers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2019.

The win made it two in a row for Bishop Stang and bumps their season record up to 4-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 14 points in those games. As for Apponequet Regional, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-8.
