Basketball Recap: St. John's Comes Up Short

St. John was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Marion Local Flyers 60-23. While losing is never fun, the Bluejays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 692nd, while the Flyers are ranked 39th).

St. John's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Marion Local, the win keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. John's has already played their next match (against Kalida), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Marion Local will face off against Anna at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Anna is on a five-game streak of home wins, Marion Local a seven-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
