Basketball Game Preview: Sherman Huskies vs. Trout Lake Mustangs

The Sherman Huskies will take on the Trout Lake Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Sherman's favor as the team sits on 19 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Trout Lake has been banged up by nine consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Sherman is headed into the contest having just posted their closest win since December 28, 2023 on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged South Wasco County out 41-38.

Meanwhile, Trout Lake came up short against Condon on Tuesday, falling 63-38.

Sherman is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points per game. As for Trout Lake, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.

Everything came up roses for Sherman against Trout Lake in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 65-25 victory. Will Sherman repeat their success, or does Trout Lake have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
