Volleyball Game Preview: Pacelli Cardinals vs. Wild Rose Wildcats + How To Watch

Pacelli has gone a perfect 9-0 against Wild Rose recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Cardinals will venture away from home to challenge the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m.

Pacelli will head out to face Wild Rose after giving up their first home loss of the season on Thursday. The Cardinals fell just short of Amherst by a score of 3-2.

Pacelli started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 17-25, 25-23, 25-22, 15-13.

Pacelli's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Annie Vaughan, who had 37 digs and four aces, and Sami Sankey, who had 11 digs and two aces. Vaughan is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last eight games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Zdroik, who had 22 assists and 13 digs.

Meanwhile, Wild Rose had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. Everything went their way against the Panthers as they made off with a 3-0 win.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Wild Rose was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-12, 25-14.

Pacelli's loss dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Wild Rose, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Pacelli took their victory against Wild Rose in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
