Aeria Hagans commands the offense for Golden Hawks win

The Washington County Golden Hawks had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37.3 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They had just enough and edged Glenn Hills out 52-49. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Washington County has posted since January 13th.

Washington County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Aeria Hagans out in front who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hagans has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jade Kitchens, who scored 11 points.

Washington County's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-10. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Glenn Hills, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

As for Glenn Hills, they and Josey will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 10th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Glenn Hills has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Josey will arrive with 13 straight victories.
